Student Life at HLS

School will begin promptly at 8:00 am each day. Students will be admitted to their classrooms no earlier than 7:45 am. To give students time to be prepared for the school day they are encouraged to arrive no later than 7:50 am. If students arrive late and are not able to be in the classroom by 8:00 am, they must first stop in the school office for a pass to enter the classroom.

School dismisses at 3:15 pm and children are allowed to leave afterwards.

The calendar is designed so that the required number of hours meets or exceeds the state code. Adjustments may be made to meet the needs of staff and students.

Office Hours
The school office will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm. Summer hours will vary but, generally, the office will be open 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Holt Lutheran School Aftercare programs exist to meet the needs of families to have a safe, consistent, Christian environment for their children after school. The program is designed to complement, not imitate, school and home. It serves as an important component in the continuum of services provided for school-age children.

Aftercare is available from 3:30 - 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Vacation camps are also offered from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. For more information and to register for Aftercare and/or vacation camps, please contact us.

Holt Lutheran School also offers a Summer Care program for students who have completed kindergarten through those who have completed fifth grade. Summer Care is offered from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. For more information and to register for Summer Care, please contact us.
