Admissions, Tuition, and Fees

Enrolling at Holt Lutheran School starts with learning about our approach to Christian education and getting to know us with a visit to our school. After that, our online application makes the rest of the process smooth - but we’re just a phone call away if you need assistance or have questions along the way.

Step 1: Schedule a Visit

At your visit, we’ll discuss our philosophies and educational practices. You don’t need to be a member of a Lutheran church for your student to attend - however, many aspects of our religious education align with Lutheran doctrine. Please ask questions during your visit - we want all our families to be confident and comfortable with our school before completing the application for admission.

Step 2: Review Tuition and Fees

HLS is committed to remaining one of the most affordable Christian schools in the greater Lansing area. Though it costs our school approximately $8,100 to educate each student, the generous support of St. Matthew Lutheran Church funds about 28% of each child’s education. Plus, our dedicated teachers and faithful volunteers allow us to do more with less.

Tuition and Fees for 2025-26

First child: $5,060

Two or more children: $9,800

$185 book/technology fee per child

Financial assistance is also available to qualifying families.

Step 3: Complete the Online Application

If applicable, please complete and submit tuition assistance forms as well.

Step 4: Admissions Decisions

Admissions decisions are based on the applicant’s academic qualifications, supporting documents, and overall fit for the program. Decisions are typically provided within one to two weeks of receiving all application materials.

Step 5: Enrollment

Upon admission, families will be provided with a link to our online enrollment and tuition payment system through FACTS Tuition Management. Families can choose between a variety of payment plans to fit their individual needs.
